The delegation of South Africa signed a working paper that was proposed by the delegation of Switzerland during the conference of the Human Rights Council (HRC). The HRC discussed The Human Rights Situation of Refugees and Stateless Persons especially concerning the refugees having to flee from the crisis´ consequences in today´s session.
The motion puts forward the request that once a country accepts refugees into their country, they should provide them with education and health care. Additionally, they want to prevent child labor and sexual abuse.
“We are not trying to make other counties having to take in more refugees. All we do is trying to be good to children and improve their conditions” stated the delegation of Switzerland at the conference. Many other countries announced their support for the motion as well.
