The delegation of Ireland is thrilled by the progress made in the OSCE session and looks forward to voting on a resolution with comprehensive solutions for the concerning problem of armed conflicts in Europe. Ireland applauds the efforts made by Azerbaijan and Armenia to reach a solution for the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and hopes that new developments will not affect the promising results that have already been achieved. Ireland believes that the peaceful negotiations between these two countries are a proof that the OSCE framework can be a very helpful and powerful instrument to solve conflicts. This new confidence in the OSCE problem solving mechanisms should guide all OSCE member states when voting on a new resolution in the upcoming session. We hope that countries will not be blinded by their national interests and work together to achieve innovative solutions that will secure peace on the European continent.
